Accessibility Statement

At Instilled Ltd, we are committed to creating websites that are accessible, inclusive, and usable for as many people as possible.

We believe accessibility isn’t an optional extra — it’s a fundamental part of good design and development. We aim to ensure the websites we build can be used by people of all abilities, across a wide range of devices and technologies.

Our Commitment

When designing and developing websites, we:

  • Follow recognised accessibility standards, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at AA level wherever reasonably practicable
  • Use semantic, standards-compliant HTML
  • Ensure content is structured logically with clear headings and hierarchy
  • Build sites that are fully responsive and usable across devices
  • Consider keyboard navigation and screen reader compatibility
  • Maintain sufficient colour contrast and legible typography
  • Avoid unnecessary motion or flashing elements
  • Provide guidance to clients on creating accessible content

Accessibility is integrated into our design and build process from the outset — not added at the end.

Standards and Guidelines

We aim to align our work with:

  • WCAG 2.1 Level AA
  • The Equality Act 2010 (UK)
  • Best practice guidance from the W3C

Where clients require additional compliance (for example, public sector requirements under the Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations 2018), we can support and advise accordingly.

Ongoing Improvement

Accessibility is not a one-time task. Technology evolves, standards change, and user needs vary.

We:

  • Stay informed about updates to accessibility standards
  • Test websites during development using recognised tools and manual checks
  • Encourage feedback from users to help identify improvements
  • Offer accessibility audits and remediation services for existing websites

Limitations

While we build websites to be accessible, accessibility can be affected by:

  • Third-party plugins or integrations
  • Client-provided content that does not follow accessibility best practice
  • Subsequent changes made outside of our development process

We provide training and guidance to help clients maintain accessibility after launch.

Feedback and Support

If you experience any accessibility barriers on a website we have built, or would like to discuss accessibility for your own project, please contact us.

We take accessibility seriously and will always work to find practical, effective solutions.
