Crystal & Son is a long-established supplier of bingo equipment and supplies, serving customers throughout the North East through their eCommerce website. We were asked to redevelop their dated online store into a modern, reliable platform that could support ongoing sales, improve usability, and provide a smoother experience for both customers and administrators.
The new website offers a clearer product structure, improved performance, and a more robust technical foundation, helping Crystal & Son continue trading online with confidence.
The existing Crystal & Son website was showing its age and relied on outdated plugins that were no longer functioning correctly, creating issues with stability, security, and ongoing maintenance. As an active WooCommerce site, it was essential that the redevelopment caused minimal disruption to day-to-day trading.
We rebuilt the website on a staging server using up-to-date, future-proof methods, removing reliance on unsupported plugins while retaining all the core functionality. Existing customers and order data were then carefully migrated to the new site, ensuring continuity and allowing the old and new systems to remain in sync during the redevelopment process. Additionally, we restructured the shipping options and coupons to make the checkout process clearer for customers while giving the business more control over promotions and delivery costs.
We also created structured templates for products, content pages, and blog posts, making the site easier to manage and scale over time. SEO was protected through the implementation of correct 301 redirects, while performance improvements resulted in a faster, more responsive shopping experience.
